Dr. Yuliya Darmenova is a Lecturer in Business at the Executive Business Centre, University of Greenwich. She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where her dissertation examined Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) implementation in Kazakhstani SMEs through stakeholder perspectives. Prior to academia, she accumulated 12+ years of corporate experience in managerial roles spanning operational and strategic levels.
Her research focuses on cultural and historical influences on CSR adoption, particularly in transitional economies. She integrates practical industry insights into her academic work on sustainable business models.
Before joining Greenwich in 2023, Darmenova taught Business Management, Business Planning, and CSR in Kazakhstan for three years, bridging theory with real-world applications.
