Dr. Yiyi Fan is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems in the Department of Management Science at Lancaster University. She serves as Programme Director for the MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management program. Her research focuses on supply chain risk management, buyer-supplier relationships, and the operations-finance interface, with an emphasis on building resilience against disruptions. She explores supply network relationships at organizational and individual levels, and cybersecurity risk disclosure. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Kingsman Prize (2019) and the Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award (2020).
Dr. Fan’s research has been published in top journals including International Journal of Operations & Production Management and Annals of Operations Research. She currently serves on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Supply Chain Management. Her editorial and academic roles reflect her leadership in supply chain scholarship.
Key research areas include humanitarian logistics, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and coopetition dynamics in crisis scenarios. She supervises PhD students in supply chain resilience and buyer-supplier dynamics. Her work bridges theoretical insights with practical applications, addressing both firm-level and systemic supply chain challenges.
