Scott C. Ellis is a Professor and Department Chair of Logistics & Supply Chain Management at Georgia Southern University’s Parker College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from the State University of New York at Buffalo (2007), an M.S. in Manufacturing Management (1999), and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (1993) from Kettering University.
His research focuses on supply chain resilience, RFID technology applications, supplier development, and socio-technical systems in buyer-supplier relationships. Key themes include behavioral risk in supply chains, knowledge management strategies, and open innovation frameworks.
Recent publications highlight his work on organizational resilience, RFID performance analysis, and supplier relationship dynamics, with articles spanning 2010–2023. He has received multiple awards, including finalists for the Harold E. Fearon Best Paper and Journal of Operations Management Best Paper awards.
