Yining Wang is an Honorary Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Linguistics at Macquarie University, Australia. Her research focuses on bilingual education, multilingualism, heritage language maintenance among Chinese migrant children, and the role of religion in immigrant families. She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics (2020), a Master of Translation from Jinan University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Hunan University of Science and Technology in China.
She contributed to the ARC-funded 'Everyday Intercultural Communication in Australia' project led by Prof. Ingrid Piller and served as a lecturer at Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus prior to her PhD.
Research interests include language ideologies, transnational education practices, and the intersection of religion with immigrant parenting strategies. She is a peer reviewer for journals like Frontiers in Psychology and International Journal of Bilingualism.
