Ying Tian, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University, affiliated with the Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center. Her research focuses on tissue development and regenerative medicine, particularly lung epithelium and cardiac myocyte biology.
Education & Training:
- PhD in Physiology, Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (2007)
- Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (2014)
- MS in Cell Biology, Kunming Institute of Zoology, The Chinese Academy of Sciences (2002)
- BS in Biology, Henan University (1999)
Her laboratory investigates signaling pathways regulating alveolar epithelial progenitor cell activation and differentiation for lung repair, as well as molecular mechanisms driving cardiac muscle growth and myocyte proliferation.
A member of the Basic Science Council of the American Heart Association, Dr. Tian's work bridges cardiovascular sciences and microbiology/inflammation research.
