Ying-Fang Shen is Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts.

Artistic Practice: Integrates traditional East Asian aesthetics and Taoist philosophy into digital art, animation, and painting. Her experimental animations incorporate layered textures and drawn elements, evoking Asian shadow puppetry traditions while exploring themes of originality and playfulness.
Exhibition Record: Works have been showcased internationally in over 50 countries through galleries and film festivals, establishing a significant global presence for her multimedia practice.
