Dr. Yen Jun Wong is a Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia, and a registered pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia. Her research focuses on health systems research, evidence synthesis, pharmacy practice, infectious diseases (e.g., tuberculosis and Parkinson’s Disease), women’s health, and mental health. She holds a PhD in Pharmacy Practice from Monash University Malaysia and a First Class Honours in Pharmacy from Monash University Australia. She has collaborated with organizations like the Malaysian Pharmacists Society and ISPOR.
Her recent projects include developing a Chronic Kidney Disease predictive model for Malaysia (2024–2026). Key awards include the Vice Chancellor Special Team Commendation Award (2021) and the School Research Grant: Pharmacy Practice Grant (2024). She actively engages in workshops and media initiatives, such as 'Break the Cycle: Ending Period Stigma' (2024) and media contributions on tuberculosis eradication.
Her articles primarily address global health challenges, including stroke burden, TB management, and maternal health interventions. She advocates for women’s health, particularly menstrual hygiene education for vulnerable populations, and leads initiatives like the YSEALI nutrition program for underprivileged women in Southeast Asia.
