Dr. Siew Li Teoh is a Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy at Monash University Malaysia, specializing in Health Economics and Outcomes Research. She holds a Master of Pharmacy from the University of Strathclyde and completed her PhD in Health Economics and Outcomes Research at Monash University Malaysia. Dr. Teoh’s work focuses on maternal and child health, mental health, palliative care, and mindfulness interventions, with collaborative projects involving the World Health Organization, Hospis Malaysia, and Malaysia’s Ministry of Health. She actively contributes to evidence-based medicine through systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and qualitative studies.
Her research portfolio includes pioneering studies on pharmacist-delivered interventions in pain management, breastfeeding support programs, and the economic burden of chronic diseases. Dr. Teoh leads the Contributing Factors and Impact of Burnout on Malaysian Pharmacists project (2023–2026) as Primary Chief Investigator, addressing workforce well-being in healthcare settings. She has also been awarded grants including the MUM High Impact Research Support Fund (2024) and the Early Career Research Grant (2023).
Dr. Teoh’s academic activities extend to organizing workshops on systematic reviewing and discrete choice experiments. She has been featured in media discussions on breastfeeding support, loneliness mitigation through mindfulness, and public health trends. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in improving health equity and sustainable communities.
