Dr. Ai Ni Teoh is an Associate Professor and Academic Head of the School of Social and Health Sciences at James Cook University (Singapore Campus). She holds a Ph.D. in Health and Social Psychology from North Dakota State University (USA) and a Master’s degree from the National University of Singapore. Her research focuses on psychological and cardiovascular responses to stress, social support mechanisms, bedtime procrastination, and attitudes toward renewable energy.
Dr. Teoh’s academic roles include teaching and coordinating courses such as Developmental Psychology and supervising Ph.D. students. She has led projects like investigating workplace nosiness impacts and women leaders’ stress responses. Her awards include the Feathers in Your Cap award from JCU Singapore (2021).
Her research spans health psychology, social psychology, and environmental behavior. Notable studies explore how mindfulness improves sleep quality, the role of FOMO in bedtime procrastination, and psychosocial implications of renewable energy adoption in Malaysia. She collaborates with engineers on techno-psychosocial energy projects and is an active member of the Singapore Psychological Society and Association for Psychological Science.
