Yeliz Simsek

Dr. Yeliz Simsek is a Research Fellow at the School of Engineering and the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions, specializing in decarbonisation trajectory modeling and system interactions. Previously at the University of Exeter (UK), her work focuses on macroeconomic, energy, and environmental modeling with applications to climate policy analysis, sustainable development goals, and socio-technical energy transitions. She has collaborated internationally across Turkey, Spain, Chile, and the UK, contributing to EU Horizon 2020 and UK government projects like UK-SSP. Her research addresses structural economic change, inequality in climate policy impacts, and low-carbon transition pathways.
