Yekaterina Lebedeva is a Professor of Piano at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and a Visiting Lecturer at City University. She also teaches at the Royal College of Music (RCM) Junior Department and City Lit Institute in London. Holding a Diploma (Distinction) from the Kiev Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, her career spans concert performances and pedagogy. Notably, her students have won prestigious international competitions, including first prize at the Lalla Meryem International Piano Competition and second prizes at the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe and Scriabin International competitions. Two students were Lang Lang Award recipients, performing at venues like the Royal Festival Hall.
Her performance highlights include debuts at the Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room and collaborations with orchestras such as the Cairo Symphony Orchestra and Athens Megaron’s Orchestra of Colours. She founded the Musical Odyssey Masterclasses, fostering global musical exchange. Yekaterina has performed across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond, showcasing works like Schnittke’s Piano Concerto and Stravinsky’s Piano and Winds Concerto.
Her teaching emphasizes both technical mastery and artistic expression, with students regularly performing at Wigmore Hall and appearing on BBC Radio 3. She balances academic roles with active participation in musical festivals and educational initiatives.
