Dr. Yeji Baek is a Research Fellow at Monash University, affiliated with the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She specializes in Global Health and Health Economics, with a focus on evidence generation for early childhood development, child health/nutrition, and health equity in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs). Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in poverty reduction and health equity.

Her research integrates health economics, public health nutrition, and policy evaluation, including cost-effectiveness analyses of parenting interventions in Vietnam and nutritional programs in Nepal. She leads projects like the Early Journey of Life initiative and collaborates with UN agencies (UNICEF, UNSCN) and governments. As a Teaching Associate, she instructs undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Public Health and Research Methods.
Recent publications highlight her expertise in equity-informative economic evaluations, digital health interventions for prediabetes, and cost-saving strategies for geriatric care. Her work spans clinical research, policy analysis, and community-based programs across Asia and LMICs.
