Tasneem Karim is a Research Focused Academic affiliated with the University of Sydney's Sydney Medical School and Children's Hospital at Westmead, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FMH). She is a member of the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre. Her work focuses on cerebral palsy epidemiology, global health, public health, and disabilities, with a particular emphasis on low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Her research spans topics such as cerebral palsy prevalence, nutritional interventions, mental health of caregivers, and healthcare access in Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
