Dr Katarina Ostojic is a Research Fellow at the University of Sydney's Central Clinical School within the Sydney Medical School. Her work focuses on integrated health-psychological-social care models for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, emphasizing equity and co-design with families and lived experience stakeholders. She holds a PhD from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Clinical School, where her thesis explored pain management in children with cerebral palsy, particularly non-pharmacological interventions.
Education: Completed her PhD at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Clinical School, University of Sydney (Thesis: Pain management in children with cerebral palsy).
Research Interests: Mixed-methods approaches to address healthcare inequities, social prescribing for neurodevelopmental conditions, and improving mental health outcomes for children/youth with disabilities. Her work spans clinical trials, qualitative research, and translational science.

- EPIC-CP: Social prescribing for children with cerebral palsy
- First 2000 Days Care Connect: Integrated care for migrant/refugee families
- STARS for Kids: Early developmental needs framework
Collaborations: Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Cerebral Palsy Alliance, UNSW, and social service organizations like First Steps Count and Mission Australia.
Advising & Grants: Supervises Honours/MPhil/PhD students and holds a 2024 Cerebral Palsy Alliance Emerging Researcher Grant for psychosocial outcomes research.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Community Paediatrics Research Group, focusing on child health equity and participatory research methods.
