Dr. Yasemin Irvin-Erickson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University. Her research focuses on victimization, technology, and economic empowerment of vulnerable populations, with particular emphasis on domestic violence, identity fraud, and gender-based violence. She has managed over $3 million in research funding, including NSF and BJA grants, and led innovative projects such as a mobile survey application to combat transit violence.
Education: Ph.D. in Criminal Justice (Rutgers University, 2014), M.A. in Criminal Justice (Rutgers, 2010), M.A. in Forensic Science (Istanbul University, 2009), B.A. in Sociology (Middle East Technical University, 2004).
