Yariv Taran is an Associate Professor of Innovation and Organization at Aalborg University Business School (Denmark), affiliated with the IKE Research Group and the Green Societies Steering Committee at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds a BSc in Management and Sociology from the Open University of Israel, an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, and a PhD in Business Model Innovation from Aalborg University.
His research focuses on managing risk and uncertainty in business model innovation processes, with additional expertise in decision-making, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. He has published extensively in journals like Decision Sciences and Technology Analysis & Strategic Management.
Key roles include heading the 'Entrepreneurial Business Engineering' study program and contributing to projects such as CO2VISION 2.0 and RISE, addressing CCUS (Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage) and sustainable business models. He has received the 'Module distinction fall 2022' award for teaching excellence.
Recent research trends emphasize de/re-internationalization dynamics, business model innovation in VUCA environments, and green transition strategies. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in global business ecosystems.
