Diana Moreno is a Research Fellow in Sustainable Energy Planning and Management at Aalborg University's Department of Sustainability and Planning, part of The Technical Faculty of IT and Design. She holds a PhD in GIS for Sustainable Energy (2024) from Aalborg University, where she developed the GeoPLAN framework. Her work focuses on integrating geographical information systems (GIS) with energy system analysis to advance district energy, bioenergy, CCUS, and PtX technologies. She collaborates on Danish and international projects addressing energy infrastructure and decarbonization strategies. She also teaches in master’s programs related to sustainability and planning.
