Yannick Le Cozler

Yannick Le Cozler is a Lecturer at Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, working within the Department of Animal Production, Agrifood, Nutrition (P3AN) under the College of Agriculture. His academic work integrates teaching and research responsibilities focused on livestock systems.

His research interests center around animal science with specific expertise in livestock management, dairy production systems, and the development of young animals. His work examines the adaptability of livestock systems to public policies and their implications for viability, sustainability, and social acceptability.

Le Cozler's research primarily focuses on breeding (feeding, reproduction, management) of future dairy cows (heifers) and the operation of dairy herds. His work is conducted through the UMR PEGASE research unit (Physiology, environment and genetics for animals and livestock systems).

He teaches basic disciplines of zootechnics in the first year of the agricultural engineering course and the first year of the 'Zootechnical Engineering' master's degree. His teaching encompasses multidisciplinary core courses, disciplinary courses, and various optional engineering modules.

Within the Agro Institute Rennes-Angers, he has various supervisory responsibilities including personal activities, research projects, company internships, individual training projects, and tutoring.
