Yangyang Liu

Dr. Yangyang Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counselor Education and Rehabilitation at California State University, Fresno. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Pennsylvania State University, an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from the same institution, and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.

Her research focuses on career development and wellness among underserved populations in higher education, including international students and those with disabilities. She is a National Certified Counselor and Certified Career Counselor with experience working in university mental health clinics, community behavioral health settings, and university career centers. Dr. Liu teaches courses such as COUN 200, COUN 219, and COUN 220, emphasizing counseling techniques, field practice in student services, and career development theory.

She actively participates in professional organizations like the American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), National Career Development Association (NCDA), and Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) Honor Society.
