Dr. Yang Zhang is a Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics at the Kent Business School, University of Kent. He holds a dual-title PhD in Business Administration & Operations Research from The Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on strategic behavior in network economics and behavioral operations management, combining theoretical and experimental methodologies. He has been awarded the Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has secured funding from prestigious organizations including the British Council, National Natural Science Foundation of China (rated A+), and the U.S. National Science Foundation.
Dr. Zhang teaches courses on operations management, supply chain modeling, and analytics tools such as VBA and Power BI to students globally. His teaching spans institutions in the UK, China, Germany, and the U.S. He supervises PhD and MSc students across institutions including University of Kent, Tsinghua, and Temple University, focusing on topics like economic networks and behavioral operations.
His research has been published in top journals such as Operations Research, Production and Operations Management, and Journal of Operations Management. He actively serves as a referee for journals including Management Science and Games and Economic Behavior. His work bridges strategic decision-making, network structures, and behavioral insights, contributing to both academic and practical domains.
