Yang Yang is a Professor at Temple University's School of Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality Management, serving as Interim Chair and Executive Director of the U.S.-Asia Center for Tourism & Hospitality Research. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography and master’s degrees in Statistics and Economics from the University of Florida. His expertise spans tourism economics, demand modeling, hospitality financial analysis, and big data applications. With over 100 peer-reviewed SSCI articles, he has been ranked in the Top 2% Global Scientists (2018-2023).
Research interests include tourism growth modeling, digital self-identity dynamics, and mental health epidemiology. Notable works explore sociological frameworks of self-awareness, telecopresence theory, and digital divide impacts. He serves as Associate Editor of Annals of Tourism Research and Corresponding Editor of International Journal of Hospitality Management.
