Daqun Zhang

Daqun Zhang is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Department of Accounting, College of Business, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He joined the faculty in 2016 and holds dual PhDs in Management Science (University of Science and Technology of China, 2009) and Accounting (Temple University, 2015). A visiting scholar at the University of Kent (UK) in 2006, Dr. Zhang has published 15 coauthored papers in high-impact journals such as the European Journal of Operational Research and Research Policy, with his work cited hundreds of times.

He has contributed to interdisciplinary research bridging accounting, operations research, and public policy.

His publications reveal trends in applying DEA to performance evaluation across diverse fields: (1) Executive Compensation (2020), (2) Stochastic Frontier Modeling (2019), (3) Tax Policy Analysis (2018), (4) Utility Regulation (2017), and (5) Institutional Research Policy (2011). These works highlight his expertise in quantitative methods and their application to real-world economic and accounting challenges.
