Xunyi Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems & Business Analytics at the Hankamer School of Business, Baylor University. He holds a PhD in Management Science and Systems from the State University of New York at Buffalo, an MS in Finance from SUNY Buffalo, and a BS in Applied Mathematics from Central South University, China.

His research focuses on digital platforms, the sharing economy, healthcare, gamification, and user-generated content. He examines societal impacts of platform regulations, emotional expressions in sales, psychological ownership in gaming, HIPAA compliance incentives, and social support in healthcare.
Xunyi’s publications in Information Systems Research, Production and Operations Management, and JAMIA highlight interdisciplinary work bridging technology, psychology, and public health. His studies employ empirical and behavioral models to address real-world challenges in digital ecosystems.
