Michelle Sahli is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health and Health Sciences at the University of Michigan-Flint's College of Health Sciences. She serves as the Public Health Programs Coordinator (2020-2024) and teaches courses in Epidemiology (PHS 315, HCR 500) and Public Health Integration (PHS 595). She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from SUNY Buffalo (2016), an MS in Epidemiology (SUNY Buffalo, 2012), and a BSc in Environmental Issues from CUNY (2009).
Her research intersects nutritional epidemiology, gerontology, and digital health equity, with emphases on:
- Vision care and macular degeneration in aging populations
- Technology adoption barriers among older adults
- Lifestyle interventions for chronic disease management
- Interprofessional healthcare collaboration
Recent publications (2014-2023) predominantly explore public health crises (e.g., Flint water), micronutrient impacts on ocular health, and technology accessibility, utilizing large cohort studies like the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) project.
