Dr. Xue Zhou is a Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Academic Head of the Centre for Excellence in AI in Education, and Deputy Director of Education at Queen Mary University of London. She holds a BSc in Heating Ventilation Engineering from Nanjing University of Technology (China), and MSc/PhD in Engineering Management from Coventry University (UK). Previously, she was a Senior Lecturer at Coventry University. Her roles include Co-Director of the Centre for Education and Scholarship Research in Economics, Finance, and Business Management, and member of the PLTL Advisory Group.
Research focuses on digital literacy, AI adoption in education/healthcare/manufacturing, cross-cultural adjustment, and pedagogical innovation. She leads projects on AI literacy training and interdisciplinary collaboration. Awards include the 2024 President & Principle’s Education Excellence Award and British Academy of Management Education Practice Award.
Teaching includes modules like ‘Working with Business Data’ and ‘Project Management’, with certifications in Higher Education Pedagogy. Supervises doctoral students researching AI workplace impacts and corporate digital transformation. Active in public engagement, serving as external examiner for multiple UK universities and editor for journals like Journal of Intelligent Technologies in Education.
Labs/centres include the Centre for Excellence in AI in Education and the Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) programme. Grants include funding from the British Academy of Management and Queen Mary’s President & Principle’s Fund for initiatives like AI curriculum integration and student-staff collaboration.
