Dr Bai Xue is a Lecturer in Accounting at Loughborough Business School since June 2023, following roles at Aston Business School and Southampton Business School. She holds a PhD in Accounting and Corporate Governance from Loughborough University and an MSc in Management from the University of Sheffield. Her research expertise focuses on audit quality and pricing, corporate governance, sustainability disclosure, environmental performance, and management accounting in healthcare sectors. Dr Xue has conducted projects using primary and secondary data, including surveys, interviews, and case studies.
Her research interests span audit fee determinants in financial markets, environmental risk management, and healthcare accounting systems. Dr Xue has secured external funding from the British Accounting and Finance Association and serves as a reviewer for journals like the European Journal of Finance and the British Accounting Review. She actively participates in international conferences such as the European Accounting Association Annual Conference and the British Accounting and Finance Association Annual Conference.
Her work bridges academic research and practical implications, emphasizing cross-sector applications of accounting principles. Dr Xue contributes to teaching corporate governance and ethics in global contexts, reflecting her commitment to pedagogical innovation and professional development in higher education.
