Xu Han is a Research Fellow at the Max Weber College for Advanced Cultural and Social Sciences, University of Erfurt, associated with the Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 294 Structural Transformation of Property. He works on subproject C01 Hybrid Property Order in State Capitalism: Ownership Society, Socioeconomic Differentiation and Governmentality - The Case of Shenzhen, China, examining the interplay between property structures, governance, and social dynamics in state capitalist systems.
His research spans political economy, socioeconomic inequality, and institutional analysis, with focus on empirical studies of China's urban development. As a doctoral fellow, he contributes to the College's mission of interdisciplinary cultural and social science research.
