Xinbao Yu

Dr. Xinbao Yu is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), specializing in geotechnical engineering, sensor technology, and numerical simulation. He joined UTA in 2011 as an Assistant Professor, became Associate Professor in 2017, and attained his current rank in 2022. His research focuses on geothermal energy applications for bridge de-icing, soil stabilization, reliability-based design, and TDR sensor development. Dr. Yu holds a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University (2009) and multiple advanced degrees from institutions in China and the U.S.
