Xiaoping Ha is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies at Stony Brook University. She holds a degree in Journalism from Fu Dan University, Shanghai, and a Master's in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Middlebury College, Vermont. She was the first graduate of Stony Brook’s Asian American Studies Department. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, her expertise merges language instruction with cultural education, emphasizing the unique cultural aspects of Chinese society through her journalism background.
