Ashley Rudianne Brown is a part-time lecturer at Stony Brook University's Department of Asian and Asian American Studies. A graduate of Stony Brook with a B.A. in Asian and Asian American Studies and an M.A. in TESOL Education, she also holds a New York State teaching certification for Chinese. She founded Mandarin On That Beat, a program dedicated to innovative Mandarin education, and conducted research at Xiamen University while presenting at Chinese language education conferences in mainland China.
