Wolfgang Nüßlein

Wolfgang Nüßlein serves as a Lecturer in Chamber Music at the University of Music Würzburg, maintaining an active international performance and teaching career. His extensive concert engagements span Europe, Russia, Africa, the Americas, Korea, and China, featuring appearances at Carnegie Recital Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, and major festivals including Schleswig-Holstein, MDR Music Summer, and Beethoven Festival in Krakow.

His academic foundation includes a Diploma in Orchestral Music and Instrumental Pedagogy from Karlsruhe University of Music and a Master of Music from Juilliard School of Music under Harvey Shapiro, with additional studies under Paul Tortelier. This training underpins his dual expertise in performance and pedagogy.

Nüßlein's professional focus centers on chamber music performance and cello artistry, demonstrated through founding the Manhattan String Trio and topos trio while collaborating with renowned musicians like U. Klausenitzer and M. Kravtchin. His repertoire bridges classical traditions and contemporary works across global festival circuits.

As an educator, he has shaped generations of musicians through positions at Regensburg University of Music (full-time lecturer for cello/chamber music/young students), Kassel Music Academy (2008-2010), and masterclasses in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Chile. His students regularly win competition prizes and secure orchestral positions worldwide.
