Dr. B.J. Temple (full name: William Temple) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health, Exercise and Sport Science at the University of the Cumberlands. He transitioned to full-time faculty in 2015 after serving as adjunct faculty, while also holding the role of Assistant Athletic Director.
- Former 15-year assistant track and field coach at UC
- Recruited/coached 89 NAIA All-Americans and 14 NAIA National Champions
- Certified in USA Track & Field Level I/II (endurance/sprints)
Research interests include sports science, athletic coaching, kinesiology, and exercise physiology, with a focus on optimizing athlete performance and endurance training methodologies.
Scientific awards:
- Inducted into UC Athletic Hall of Fame (2018)
