William Riddell, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Rowan University's Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering. His research focuses on sustainability in infrastructure, structural mechanics, and engineering education. He holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts (1990) and a Ph.D. from Cornell University (1995).
Research interests include fatigue/fracture mechanics, sustainable construction practices, renewable energy integration, and educational strategies. Notable grants include projects funded by NJ DMAVA and American Water. He advises graduate students pursuing MS and PhD degrees in aligned research areas.
Teaching includes courses like Material Science and Engineering Clinic projects. He has been honored with the Army Community Partnership Award and maintains active collaborations in civil engineering and sustainability.
