Mohammad Abedin-Nasab

Mohammad Abedin-Nasab is an Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering and Affiliate Faculty in Mechanical Engineering at Rowan University's Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, where he also completed post-doctoral work. His B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is from KNT University of Technology.

Research focuses on surgical robotics and image-guided surgery, particularly for orthopedic applications. Current projects include developing robotic systems for long-bone fracture surgery. Key research areas span biomedical engineering, robotics, and digital health technologies. Recent publications demonstrate innovation in parallel mechanism design, haptic feedback systems, and surgical navigation techniques.

Awards include the 2024 Edison Patent Award, 2025 NJ Innovate 100 recognition, and Rowan University's Faculty Innovation & Entrepreneurship Award (2024) and Teaching Excellence Award (2022).
