Dr. William M. Wilson serves as the fourth President of Oral Roberts University (ORU) since June 2013, leading its mission to develop Spirit-empowered leaders through whole person education. Globally recognized for ethical leadership and championing new generations, he also holds pivotal roles as Global Chair for Empowered21 and Chair of the Pentecostal World Fellowship.
His scholarly focus centers on Spirit-empowered leadership, Pentecostal theology, and generational dynamics—particularly Generation Z—with deep exploration of Christian spirituality, biblical worldview frameworks, and fasting practices. He has authored over 10 influential books including "The Power of One" and "Father Cry," alongside numerous articles addressing faith-based leadership in contemporary society.
Dr. Wilson received the "Most Influential Oklahomans 2022" honor from The Journal Record. Under his presidency, ORU achieved 17 consecutive years of enrollment growth with students from 160+ nations, alongside national recognition as #5 for Student Engagement (Wall Street Journal/THE) and #1 for Student Life in Oklahoma (Niche).
He spearheads global partnerships through Empowered21 and the Pentecostal World Fellowship, while his television program "World Impact with Dr. Billy Wilson" reaches 150+ nations. His vision drives ORU's expansion of academic programs, technological infrastructure, and spiritual ethos to cultivate transformative world leaders.
