Byron D. Klaus serves as an Adjunct Professor at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), part of Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. He previously held the presidency of AGTS from 1999 to 2015 and spent 20 years as faculty and administrator at Vanguard University of Southern California. He concurrently serves as Vice President of ChildHope (formerly Latin America Child Care), overseeing a ministry serving over 80,000 children across 21 nations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
His academic credentials include:

- MRE from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
- DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary
Dr. Klaus specializes in Pentecostal Theology and Missiology, with extensive research on global leadership development and the globalization of Pentecostalism. His scholarly work addresses the intersection of Spirit-empowered ministry and cross-cultural leadership, particularly in resource-limited contexts. He has co-edited foundational texts including Called and Empowered: Pentecostal Mission in Global Perspective and The Globalization of Pentecostalism: A Religion Made to Travel, published through academic presses like Routledge and Regnum Books International.
With over 30 years of field experience, he has trained ministry leaders in more than 50 nations, emphasizing practical theology for impoverished communities. His current teaching focuses on biblical leadership and Spirit-empowered service, while his consulting work extends to organizational development for faith-based NGOs. ChildHope remains central to his mission, integrating child development with theological education to address systemic poverty.
