Dr. Daniel K. Darko serves as Dean for Global Engagement and Professor of Biblical Studies at Taylor University. He holds academic appointments in Biblical Studies, Christian Ministries, Intercultural Studies, and Philosophy. His educational background includes a PhD in New Testament & Early Christianity from King’s College London, a ThM from Evangelical Theological Seminary (Croatia), an MA from Oxford Centre for Mission Studies/University of Leeds, and a BTh from Evangelical Theological Seminary (Croatia). Specialties include cultural intelligence, Pauline studies, and biblical paradigms for ethno-racial relations, with a focus on Christianity in Africa.
His research explores kinship frameworks in Paul’s letters, early Christian cosmology, and African contextual biblical interpretation. Recent work emphasizes the role of the Spirit in Ephesians and Philippians, and kinship models in 1 Timothy. Publications span Pauline theology, missiology, and early Christian ethics. Dr. Darko founded Africa Potential, a nonprofit empowering African education, particularly for girls. He previously served as Wilson-Ockenga Professor at Gordon College and taught globally in Egypt, Uganda, India, and Nigeria, blending academic rigor with missional engagement.
