William M. Barton is an Assistant Professor at the Institut für Klassische Philologie und Neulateinische Studien, Universität Innsbruck. He holds a PhD in Classics from King’s College London (2015) and has held research roles at institutions including the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Neo-Latin Studies (since 2011). His academic career includes postdoctoral fellowships in Helsinki, Paris, and Spain, and he leads the FWF-START project 'LAGOOS: A Life in Ancient Greek.'
