William L. Carroll

William L. Carroll, MD, is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Department of Pathology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and serves at NYU Langone’s Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. He specializes in pediatric hematology-oncology, treating children with leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood disorders.

Dr. Carroll’s research focuses on the molecular origins of childhood cancers, particularly acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). His laboratory investigates drug resistance, relapse mechanisms, and the genomic and epigenomic evolution of cancer cells using cutting-edge technologies. He aims to develop more effective, less toxic therapies through precision medicine approaches that target tumor-specific vulnerabilities.

His recent publications reflect a strong trend in multiomic analysis, epigenetics, and translational research in pediatric leukemia.
