William Davies is a Professor of Palaeoanthropology at the University of Southampton and currently serves as Director of Programmes for Archaeology. His research focuses on Neanderthal and early Homo sapiens behavior, mobility patterns, and ecological adaptations. He investigates how climatic frameworks influenced Paleolithic hunter-gatherer societies, particularly regarding resource inequality and technological innovation.
