William Chilian

Dr. William Chilian is a Professor in the Department of Integrative Medical Sciences at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). He holds a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Missouri (1980), and has held faculty positions at institutions including the University of Iowa, Texas A&M, and Louisiana State University. His research focuses on coronary circulation adaptations, mitochondrial dysfunction in metabolic syndrome, and mechanisms of coronary collateral growth. Dr. Chilian has over 160 peer-reviewed publications, an h-index of 63, and has received prestigious awards such as the NIH Research Career Development Award and the American Heart Association’s Distinguished Service Award.
