William A. Pitney, III is the Acting Dean and Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education at Northern Illinois University's College of Education. His research focuses on professional development, administration in athletic training, and workforce socialization. He holds an Ed.D. in Adult Continuing Education from NIU, an M.S. in Physical Education from Eastern Michigan University, and a B.S. in Physical Education from Indiana State University.
