Greg Gardner

Greg Gardner is a Clinical Professor of Athletic Training in the Department of Kinesiology & Rehabilitative Sciences at the Oxley College of Health & Natural Sciences, The University of Tulsa. He serves as the Graduate Program Director for Sport Leadership and has over four decades of experience as a certified athletic trainer.

His research and professional expertise lie in clinical reasoning in athletic training students and the globalization of athletic training. He has significantly contributed to the academic and professional development of athletic training programs worldwide.

Dr. Gardner has been instrumental in accreditation and education, having served as President of the Commission for Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and as a consultant for programs in Jordan, Spain, Ireland, and the UK. He is a Fulbright Specialist and currently supports the accreditation efforts of Athletic Rehabilitators and Therapists of Ireland.

Dr. Gardner earned his Ed.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi, with a dissertation on Clinical Instruction in Athletic Training. He is actively engaged in teaching, leadership, and international collaboration in athletic training education.
