Will Mosley is an Assistant Professor in the Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research focuses on Black queer theory, affect studies, and feminist theories of tenderness, with interdisciplinary engagement in music, literature, and visual culture. He holds a B.A. in English from Amherst College and a Ph.D. in African and African Diaspora Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Mosley’s work bridges Black cultural studies and queer theory, examining how Black queer expressive culture disrupts exclusionary definitions of tenderness. His book project, *Tenderness: The Work of Black Queer Expression*, explores radical inclusivity through cultural analysis. His research has been supported by institutions like the Mellon Foundation and the Schomburg Center.
Publications include articles in *Feminist Theory*, *Frontiers: A Journal of Women Studies*, and *Archeion: Journal of Queer Archives*. He previously taught at Wake Forest University and actively contributes to D.C. queer studies initiatives.
