Sydney F Lewis

Sydney F Lewis is a Senior Lecturer in the Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Maryland. She holds a Ph.D. (2012) from the University of Washington, an M.A. from UC Santa Cruz, and a B.A. from UMBC. Her work bridges black feminist theory, queer studies, and cultural analysis, focusing on African American cultural productions and intersectional liberation frameworks.

Awards: Recipient of the Humanities Scholar Fellowship (UMBC). Current projects include academic-activism collaborations and interdisciplinary pedagogy.
