Wilhelm Killermann

Wilhelm Killermann (1930–2022) was a distinguished Professor and pioneer in biology education at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). He led the Institute for Biology Education, established in 1974 as part of LMU's Faculty of Biology, and authored seminal works like Biology Teaching Today, a cornerstone of teacher training. His career spanned high school teaching (1957–1966), habilitation in botany, and academic leadership until retirement in 1996, with continued involvement post-retirement.
