Wenzhang Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. His research investigates mitochondrial dysfunction in neurodegenerative disorders using transgenic rodent models and cell cultures. He earned his Ph.D. in Medical Genetics from Fudan University (2011) and completed postdoctoral training at Case Western Reserve University.
Research focuses on: 1) Mitochondrial proteostasis in Alzheimer’s; 2) Apolipoprotein interactions; 3) Metal homeostasis in neurodegeneration. Publications emphasize cellular mechanisms of amyloid pathology and neuroprotective strategies. No awards or student advising are documented.
Laboratory techniques include immunohistochemistry, Western blot, and in vivo modeling.
