Wenlong Li is a Lecturer in Law specialising in data and AI regulation at Aston Law School, part of the College of Business and Social Sciences at Aston University. His research bridges legal frameworks with interdisciplinary insights from STS, computer science, and sociology. He focuses on AI regulation, privacy/data protection law, platform governance, and digital labour rights. Li holds a PhD in IT Law from the University of Edinburgh (2019) and has extensive industry experience at multinational companies including TikTok/Bytedance, Alibaba, and Tencent.
