Professor Wendy Garnham is a distinguished academic in the School of Psychology at the University of Sussex, specializing in pedagogy and active learning. She holds a D.Phil. in Psychology from Sussex and has extensive teaching experience across all academic levels, including roles as Head of Sixth Form and Teaching Fellow. Her research focuses on active learning strategies, outdoor education, and student transitions in higher education. She co-founded the Active Learning Network (ALN), a global initiative with over 40 satellite groups, and chairs the SEDA Papers Committee. She has received numerous awards, including the National Teaching Fellowship (2020) and the Global Academic Good Practice Award (2021).

Her projects include the Talis Elevate collaboration and the Padlet Project, focusing on digital tools and student engagement.
