Dr. Weiyue Wang is a Lecturer in Marketing at the Department of Marketing, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham, where he joined in October 2017. Prior to this, he held academic positions at Coventry University and the University of Salford. He earned his PhD in Marketing from the University of Bradford School of Management.
His primary research interests include employee cognition and workplace behaviors, with a focus on employee-organization relationships, individual differences, behavioral ethics, leadership, and job performance. He also investigates consumer psychology, business ethics, and cross-cultural research. His work often explores how service workers’ attitudes and psychological traits influence their performance and behavior within organizations.
Dr. Wang’s recent publications examine themes such as perceived risk in consumer behavior, ethical leadership, psychological empowerment, organizational identification, and customer orientation. His research has appeared in leading journals including European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, The Leadership Quarterly, and Journal of Consumer Behaviour. The publications reflect a strong interdisciplinary approach combining marketing, organizational psychology, and behavioral ethics, with a consistent focus on both employee and consumer behavior in service contexts.
